Devonport Oval - Home of the Magpies The Devonport Oval is arguably the most picturesque ground in Australia. It is positioned next to a beach in Devonport and has three cycling and footy training light towers. It has two stands, both quite small, a pavilion and a grass hill. The ground is tiered on on one side. The record crowd at Devonport Oval was an estimated 13,500 for a 1959 State of Origin football match between Tasmania and Victoria.
